Terms of Use

1. Who may use Weektable

Weektable is operated by Carl Isak Knox, referred to as “Weektable,” “we,” “us,” or “our.” Weektable is initially offered in the United States. You must be at least 13, legally permitted to use the service, and able to agree to these terms. If you are not old enough to form a binding contract where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms for you.

Access is personal and may be invite-only. You must provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in method, and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been compromised. Do not share passwords, one-time codes, or private download links.

2. What Weektable provides

Weektable helps you plan meals, discover and save recipes, manage shared or personal kitchen information, prepare grocery lists, track pantry ingredients, and view estimated nutrition. Recommendations are suggestions, not instructions you are required to follow.

Features, recipe availability, integrations, data formats, and platform support may change. We may test, limit, pause, or discontinue a feature when needed for safety, reliability, moderation capacity, or product development. Weektable is currently free; we will give notice and ask for any additional agreement before charging for a service.

3. Food, allergy, and nutrition safety

Weektable does not provide medical, dietary, or food-safety advice. Nutrition totals, ingredient conversions, pantry-life estimates, best-by guidance, and recipe suggestions are estimates and may be incomplete or inaccurate. A dietary filter does not guarantee that a recipe or product is free of an allergen or suitable for a medical condition.

Always check product labels, recalls, ingredients, cross-contact risks, freshness, storage conditions, and safe cooking temperatures. Use your own judgment about spoilage and doneness. Consult a qualified professional for medical or dietary decisions and do not rely on Weektable in an emergency.

4. Grocery and other outside services

An optional retailer handoff may help match list items or add products to a third-party cart. You must review the store, product, package size, quantity, price, allergens, and substitutions before confirming. A Weektable cart handoff does not by itself mean that an item was purchased or delivered.

Retailers, delivery services, authentication providers, and share destinations operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Weektable is not the seller, grocer, courier, or payment processor and does not control third-party inventory, pricing, substitutions, delivery, refunds, or service availability.

5. Your recipes and other content

You keep ownership of recipes, comments, photos, activity, and other content you submit. You are responsible for it and must have the rights needed to submit or publish it. Do not copy protected recipe instructions, photos, or other material without permission; minor rewriting does not automatically create publication rights.

You give Weektable a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, and process private content only as needed to operate and improve the features you request. If you deliberately publish content to the Weektable community, that license also permits Weektable to display, distribute, recommend, and make the content available through the service, and to let infrastructure providers process it for those purposes. The license ends after the content is removed from active service, subject only to reasonable backup expiration and narrowly retained moderation, rights, safety, or legal evidence described in the Privacy Policy. Account deletion removes your active user-generated content even when it was previously shared with other members.

We may reject, label, limit, or remove submitted content that violates these terms, the Community Guidelines, another person's rights, or applicable law. To report suspected copyright infringement, email isakknox@gmail.com with the work you own, the Weektable material at issue, where it appears, your contact information, and why you believe the use is unauthorized.

6. Shared kitchens and Social

Joining a shared kitchen lets its members view and change the shared planning, pantry, grocery, preference, macro, and kitchen-recipe information disclosed before you accept the invitation. Member actions can affect everyone in that kitchen. Friendship alone does not grant kitchen access, and a social block does not remove kitchen access.

Social participation must remain recipe-centric and follow the Community Guidelines. You are responsible for the audience you select for recipes, cooking activity, and comments. Ratings must reflect genuine experience and must not be bought, coordinated, or automated.

7. Acceptable use

You may not:

• use Weektable unlawfully, deceptively, fraudulently, or to harm another person;
• publish dangerous food instructions, false allergen claims, abuse, spam, or infringing content;
• probe, disrupt, bypass, or gain unauthorized access to an account, service, security control, or private download;
• scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract member information or the recipe catalog;
• reverse engineer the service except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
• misrepresent your identity, manipulate recommendations or ratings, or automate activity without written permission.

8. Weektable's service and brand

Weektable and its software, design, branding, and operator-created materials are owned by Weektable or its licensors. These terms give you a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable right to use the service. They do not give you ownership of the service, the Weektable name or mark, or another member's content.

Feedback is voluntary. If you send product feedback, you allow Weektable to use it without restriction or payment, but this does not transfer ownership of a recipe or other content you submit through a product feature.

9. Suspension and ending use

You may stop using Weektable at any time and may export or delete account data through Account & privacy. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably needed to protect users or the service, investigate a violation, comply with law, manage service capacity, or enforce these terms. When practical, we will explain the action and how to appeal.

Provisions that by their nature should continue—such as ownership, licenses strictly needed for limited backup, moderation, rights, safety, or legal retention, warranty disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—survive the end of your account.

10. Service warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Weektable is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, that every recipe or ingredient record is accurate, or that the service will meet every need. Nothing in these terms limits a warranty or consumer right that applicable law does not allow us to waive.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Weektable will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from the service. Weektable's total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Weektable in the 12 months before the claim or $100. These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited, including where applicable law excludes a limit for fraud, willful misconduct, or personal injury.

11. Changes and disputes

We may update these terms as Weektable changes. We will post the updated date and provide additional notice before a material change when reasonably practicable or legally required. If you do not agree to updated terms, stop using Weektable and delete your account.

Before filing a dispute, please email isakknox@gmail.com so we can try to resolve it informally. These terms are governed by the laws of California and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. A dispute may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in California. This section does not take away any mandatory consumer right or forum protection that applies where you live.

12. General terms and contact

These terms, the Privacy Policy, and any feature-specific terms presented to you form the agreement about Weektable. The Community Guidelines govern Social participation. If one provision is unenforceable, the others remain in effect. A delay in enforcement is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these terms without our consent; Weektable may transfer them as part of a lawful business reorganization or sale.
